Noise Pollution Policy

Territorial Waters recognises that its vessels may operate in areas close to the general Darwin community and that noise emanates from all vessels.  Territorial Waters also recognises that noise could be harmful to our crew, contractors and clients if not managed correctly.  We aim to minimise this noise whenever possible and to work with the community and our crew to create a comfortable working environment that does not impede on the tranquillity of local residents.

Territorial Waters aims to achieve this by:

• Providing hearing protection for all on board and ensuring their use.
• Reducing engine noise levels within marina’s to reduce impact on residents.
• Keeping pre departure operational noise to a minimum in marina’s
• Reduce engine noise levels when anchored in sensitive environmental areas.
• Monitoring the level of noise and manufacturing noise reduction appliances if necessary
